the addition of the BrightSmileUS
Cosmetic Teeth Brightening System
to our offices.
Professional
teeth whitening has been primarily
offered by dentists for over a
decade; this process is time consuming
and expensive. This new patented
European system offered by BrighsmileUS
includes a combination of specially
calibrated, pulsed blue UV light;
a whitening formula; and a whitening
accelerator to brighten years
of dental staining. This professional
process only takes 20 minutes.
It is safe and only costs a fraction
of what you pay for traditional

Asked Questions
Is
whitening the teeth harmful?
Scientific research by the University
of Leuven (Belgium) has shown
that where the teeth are normal
there are no demonstrably adverse
effects on the tooth enamel. Furthermore,
BrightSmileUS ® ensures a
precise level of dosing that meets
legal requirements.
Can
everyone have their teeth whitened?
No, not everyone. People that
at a young age have used medicines
such as tetracycline would be
hard to treat. Pregnant or nursing
women should consult with their
physician before engaging in dental
whitening. People born with grey
teeth will gain little benefit
from the treatment. However, it
may be assumed that BrightSmileUS
will have its effect for 90% of
users, though it is advisable
for the teeth to be in order and
without cavities.
What
is the teeth whitening process?
Teeth Whitening is actually a
process that lightens discolorations
of tooth enamel. This process
uses an effective whitening gel
(Unique) retained in an BrightSmileUS
mouthpiece that is worn over your
teeth for 20 minutes and as many
times after that until you have
reached your desired level of
whitening.
How does dental whitening remove
stains?
Dental whitening systems will
remove most stains with a gentle
action that whitens your teeth.
As the active ingredient - (hydrogen
peroxide) is broken down, the
U.V. light and the warmth acts
upon the stained organic deposits,
which oxidizes them into a white
color. This process makes the
overall tooth color closer to
its natural unstained color. Your
tooth structure remains unchanged.
Years of clinical tests have demonstrated
the safety and effectiveness of
this system. Over 90% of people
treated achieve some level of
tooth whitening. Crowns, bridges
and fillings do not lighten.
Is the whitening process permanent?
For most people, the results last
4 to 18 months depending on your
lifestyle. Your teeth have become
stained in the first place from
consuming foods and beverages.
Upon the completion of your initial
whitening process, your teeth
are restored to their natural
white color. Exposure to foods,
drinks (especially coffee, colas
and red wines), smoking and other
consumables will gradually darken
teeth again over time. You may
want to periodically whiten your
teeth.
Are there any side effects?
Some people may feel a little
tingling sensation on the gum;
this is over as soon as you brush
your teeth. NOTE - Pregnant or
nursing women should consult with
their physician before engaging
in dental whitening.
Who may benefit from tooth
whitening?
Almost everyone. However, there
are some cases where treatment
may not be effective. Tooth whitening
is ideal for patients who have
healthy teeth and would like a
whiter, brighter smile.
